  • I have been training for many years and always thought I have learnt so much over the past few years but no matter how much experience you have there is always room for improvement and growth. Sharon is an extremely meticulous coach and noticed things I would never have on my own training by myself. The minor tweaks she made to some of my exercises to improve my technique was noticeable straight away and I started seeing results in those particular exercises in a short period of time because I was under the right guidance and methodical approach. Another myth that I was able to bust was that you dont need to work out 7 days a week for 3 hrs at a time at the gym to see results. Its all about being efficient and trusting your coach and the process and you will be guaranteed to see amazing results in a very short period of time.

    “Training with Sharon was my first exposure to personal training. Previously I’ve only done group classes, CrossFit and workouts by myself. Sharon takes a scientific, research-based approach towards training and nutrition, and everything made sense. Furthermore, my previous training experiences have always been of larger volume and higher intensity. Training with Sharon was entirely different as we reduced the volume whilst maintaining an effective intensity. This really helped me with recovery without compromising my strength progression.


  • Knowledge in managing my macros to fit my goals was one of my most fulfilling achievements from the program. We have all heard sayings like "abs are made in the kitchen" and "you are what you eat" amongst other things, but I never applied this to myself. When I first reached out to Sharon via Instagram, I was mentally prepared for this journey to be painful, like how all my past attempts to diet & exercise were. I had trialed one or two different trainers in the past and I think what is unique about Sharon is her attention to detail. She takes a lot of time to understand your current fitness level and lifestyle and then maps out a progressive plan to reach your goals. Much of reaching your goals depends on what you do outside of the gym – Sharon understands that very well and gives a lot of helpful advice on how to make small but meaningful changes which add up to significant benefits over time.

I started on this path because I had gained weight over the course of my late 30’s due to the usual business of career, young family etcetera. Over that period, my exercise regime suffered and bad habits crept into my diet. I have been able to reduce my weight by around 10kg, increase my strength and improve my overall sense of wellbeing through training with Sharon. She helped me see the impact – in numerical terms – of the bad habits I had adopted around food choices and alcohol through my 30’s. Those couple of glasses of wine at dinner every other night do matter!

The internet is full of information but translating that into an actionable plan that works for your stage of fitness and goals is what Sharon is really good at. Since working with her – I know understand much more about time under tension, hypertrophy vs strength, compound vs isolation movements and the importance of form over ‘lifting heavy’. I did do weights back in my 20’s, but the approach back then was not nearly as thoughtful. I have improved my nutrition, reduced alcohol consumption and feel more mentally ‘clear’. As you get a bit older you have to stay focused on maintaining good habits that support your life style and what you want to achieve. For me – feeling fitter and more healthy helps me be a better person at home with my family and also perform better at work.
